When the Word of God identifies the work of the antichrist, we read in 2 Thessalonians 2: 7-11: "For the mystery of iniquity is at work, and it is only for the one who now holds it to be taken away: then will the iniquitous one be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of his mouth, and destroy him by manifestation But the appearance of the wicked one is according to the efficacy of Satan, with all power, and signs, and wonders of lies, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness to them that perish, because they have not received the love of the truth to be saved. It is for this reason, then, that God sends them the operation of error, to give credence to the lie. " This biblical text leaves two points very clear: first, the work of the antichrist will succeed through deception and, secondly, rejection of the offering of God's love (John 3:16) is the reason people will believe a lie. Quando a Palavra de Deus identifica a obra do anticristo, lemos em 2 Tessalonicenses 2.7-11: "Com efeito, o mistério da iniquidade já opera e aguarda somente que seja afastado aquele que agora o detém; então, será, de fato, revelado o iníquo, a quem o Senhor Jesus matará com o sopro de sua boca e o destruirá pela manifestação de sua vinda. Ora, o aparecimento do iníquo é segundo a eficácia de Satanás, com todo poder, e sinais, e prodígios da mentira, e com todo engano de injustiça aos que perecem, porque não acolheram o amor da verdade para serem salvos. É por este motivo, pois, que Deus lhes manda a operação do erro, para darem crédito à mentira". Esse texto bíblico deixa dois pontos bastante claros: primeiro, a obra do anticristo será bem-sucedida através do engano e, segundo, a rejeição à oferta do amor de Deus (Jo 3.16) é o motivo pelo qual as pessoas crerão numa mentira.
