The Antichrist: The Master of Deception

When the Word of God identifies the work of the antichrist, we read in 2 Thessalonians 2: 7-11:
"For the mystery of iniquity is at work, and it is only for the one who now holds it to be taken away: then will the iniquitous one be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of his mouth, and destroy him by manifestation But the appearance of the wicked one is according to the efficacy of Satan, with all power, and signs, and wonders of lies, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness to them that perish, because they have not received the love of the truth to be saved. It is for this reason, then, that God sends them the operation of error, to give credence to the lie. "

This biblical text leaves two points very clear: first, the work of the antichrist will succeed through deception and, secondly, rejection of the offering of God's love (John 3:16) is the reason people will believe a lie.

For this reason, more than ever, we must record in our minds and in our hearts what the Lord Jesus taught His disciples: "He is like a man leaving his country, leaving his house, giving authority to his servants And let the watchman keep watch: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, whether it be in the evening, whether it be at midnight, or at the roaring of the cock, whether in the morning, or in the morning; That, when he comes unexpectedly, he does not find you sleeping, but what I say to you I say to all: Watch! " (Mark 13: 34-47).
